1st baptism
Solid Ground Christian Fellowship Celebrates First Baptisms...
On Sunday, July 29th, the launch team and invited guests celebrated the first two baptisms of our new faith community. Pastor Rick first joined Jennifer Chamness in the pool at the Harris home and asked her if she confessed faith in Christ. He immersed her in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and she--exuberantly--came out of the water ready for her new adventure! Before Pastor Rick got out of the water, he asked if there was anyone else who was ready. Nick Crain, (who has been a part of the launch team since our beginnings in February with his wife, Breann) spoke up and asked if anyone had an extra pair of pants (size 32!) and got right into the pool next to Rick. Nick also confessed his faith in Christ and took the step of obedience in baptism. It was an awesome afternoon!
We believe that God's saving grace provides forgiveness and new life for all who put their faith and trust in Him. We respond to this free gift through faith, repentance, confession, and baptism.

Seeing these two ..."respond to God's free gift through faith, repentance, confession, and baptism" is evidence of the special assignment we are a part of as God's family. We eagerly await the next baptisms from the birth of our new community in Redlands!
