SOLID GROUND STATEMENT OF BELIEFS:

- God is BIG and wants to enjoy a relationship with us.

- Jesus is our Forgiver and Leader.  He is God’s Son and His greatest gift to us

- The Holy Spirit is God living in us and through us.

- Because of our disobedience to God our relationship with Him needs to be repaired.

- Grace (God’s mercy) makes a relationship with God possible.

- Faith makes it possible for our relationship with God to grow.

- The Bible is God’s story.  It is a miraculous book for many reasons

- The church exists to glorify God and give herself away

- Jesus is coming again!

GOD:  We believe in one God who exists in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (aka the Trinity).  The three persons are the one God (not three gods!)

(Genesis 1:26,27; Isaiah 43:10, 11; John 1:1, 14; Acts  5:3-4; Colossians 2:9)

JESUS:  We believe that Jesus is the only divine Son of God who put on human flesh and dwelt among us.  He is God and is One with the Father in essence though distinct in personality.  He was born of a virgin, ministered in word and miracle, was raised bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is coming again for His people.

HOLY SPIRIT:  We believe the Holy Spirit is One with the Father and Son in essence, and is active in the lives of each believer who has invited Him in empowering lives of godliness while providing counsel and comfort.

BIBLE:  We believe that the Bible is holy and miraculous.  It is God-breathed, true in all its teaching and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice of the faith.

CHURCH:  We believe that the church is a community of people committed to Christ that Jesus set in motion to partner with Him in serving and carrying out His mission to serve and save the souls of all ethnic groups in the world.

SALVATION:  We believe that God’s saving grace provides forgiveness and new life for all who put their faith and trust in Him.  We respond to this free gift through faith, repentance, confession, and baptism.

FAITH:  We believe that faith is not a blind leap.  It involves trusting in God because there are so many reasons to believe:   specific predictive prophesy fulfilled in literal history as seen throughout scripture, answered prayer, the complexity of nature, archeological findings and changed lives all give us good reason to have faith.
